Not Getting Notifications

I think the title says it all. For whatever reason, this new update is not allowing me to receive notifications more than half of the time for messages. Yes, I do have notifications turned on for this app, but its not working. I can only imagine its a software issue with Kik as Im not having any issues with any of my other apps. Please update and resolve this problem! Thank you!

Update: Im getting notifications now for messages that have been initiated, but for new people messaging me, Im still not getting their new message notification, so like, hours will go by without me even knowing they messaged me.. Please fix this! I am running the latest version of the app.
